NE: I have not been able to find a description of this manuscript that identifies the distichs; however, Ernstpeter Ruhe, Untersuchungen zu den altfranzösiche Übersetzungen der Disticha Catonis (Munich: Hueber, 1968) asserts that this MS is one of those containing a translation of the Disticha by Jean le Fevre. In at least one other MS, BnF fr. 1367, le Fevre's translation of the Disticha is inserted following the death of Cato as described in the Trésor de Sapience, as an interpolation into the text proper. I presume, therefore, that the same thing has been done here, and that this MS contains a similar interpolation.
